Volcano House was established in 1846 and has welcomed many guests over the years, including Mark Twain and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Overnight guests may enjoy their room service, but if you’re just driving through, stop at Uncle George’s Lounge — it’s open for takeout and grab and go.

Island-inspired and locally sourced, this open-air restaurant is a fan favorite. Enjoy a specialty cocktail while you wait for your entrée. The menu caters to everyone, featuring pineapple in several dishes, including the Pineapple Burger with grass-fed beef topped with a slice of grilled pineapple. Fresh catch fish is offered daily, along with a selection of gluten-free and vegan options.

This family-style restaurant is celebrated for its award-winning “1lb Laulau,” which features tender pork, beef, or chicken. However, the desserts are equally noteworthy.
