Let’s be real — aside from the intimate quality time, scenic views and good music, the best part about road trips are the snacks. Unfortunately, many grab-and-go snacks don’t prioritize health or eco-friendliness. Don’t fret, we’ve got you. Here are a few brands that put the planet and people first. Oh, and their snacks are top of the line.

This climate-neutral brand (a brand that offsets all of its carbon emissions by investing in carbon reduction or removal projects) has a wide variety of fair trade, organic and non-GMO sweet treats. From chocolates to nut butter bombs, Alter Eco has your sweet tooth covered.

Simple, clean, organic, vegan and made from sustainably harvested plantains and up-cycled bananas, these healthy chips are 100% guilt free.

Boxes of Bobo's oat bites in different flavors: chocolate chip and strawberry. Each box features a cartoon blonde woman in a white shirt with a red heart. Several individually wrapped oat bites are placed in front of the boxes, making them perfect road trip snacks.

These oat bars come with twice the deliciousness and half the ingredients. Bobo’s snacks are hand made in Colorado and are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and non-GMO.

Four boxes of Nature's Path Organic Heritage Flakes cereal labeled "Family Size." Each box showcases the cereal with blueberries and promotes ingredients like Khorasan wheat, oats, spelt, barley, millet, and quinoa—perfect for healthy road trip snacks.

From granola and cereal to power bars, all of Nature’s Path products are made in a zero-waste facility and are certified USDA organic.

Patagonia Provisions

All Patagonia Provisions snacks are ethically sourced and organic! They offer everything from tinned fish to beef sticks to crackers. Our favorite car snack is the Toasted Cheeze crackers.

Project 7‘s products are fair-trade, low-carb, low sugar, plant-based, organic, and non-GMO. Their sweet treats and sugar-free gum live up to their “wildly impossible” super tasty claim. Plus, they support seven different non-profits focused on education, reforestation, clean water, anti-bullying, eradicating homelessness and malaria, and feeding the hungry.

Quinn popcorn, pretzel bites, and more are fair-trade, non-GMO and organic. They prioritize clean packaging, transparency and amazing taste.
